Broxism

AI-driven bruxism detection and intervention

Broxism uses the Apple Watch microphone to detect teeth grinding and clenching sounds during sleep. When grinding is detected, the app alerts the user in real time — helping them stop before musculoskeletal pain develops.

Unlike generic sleep trackers, Broxism is purpose-built for bruxism. The acoustic detection model is trained specifically on grinding and clenching audio signatures, enabling precise identification rather than broad motion-based guessing.

How it works

  • Acoustic detection

Apple Watch microphone captures audio during sleep; on-device AI identifies bruxism-specific sound patterns

  • Real-time intervention

When grinding is detected, the watch alerts the user — stopping the clenching cycle before pain develops

  • Pain prevention focus

Designed to prevent temporomandibular disorders, headaches, and musculoskeletal pain caused by chronic bruxism

  • Clinical-grade data

Tracks grinding frequency, duration, and patterns over time — data that can inform clinical conversations

CUI

AI-powered chronic pain coaching and education

CUI is an adaptive AI pain coach that learns about each patient over time. It acts as a personal pain educator and assistant — available 24/7 to guide, educate, and support people living with chronic pain.

Rather than generic health advice, CUI builds a personalized understanding of each user's pain condition, triggers, treatments, and goals. It then delivers tailored education, coping strategies, and coaching conversations — like having a knowledgeable pain specialist in your pocket.

How it works

  • Personalized learning

CUI learns about the user's specific pain condition, history, triggers, and treatment responses over time

  • Evidence-based education

Content grounded in pain neuroscience, CBT principles, and current clinical guidelines — not generic wellness tips

  • Adaptive coaching

Conversations adapt based on user input, pain levels, and engagement patterns — more relevant over time, not less

  • Always available

24/7 access to pain coaching and education — bridging the gap between clinical appointments

Scientific Foundation

Built on pain science, not guesswork

Both products are grounded in the same scientific rigor that drives NociWise's consulting practice. Broxism applies acoustic AI to a well-characterized pain mechanism. CUI translates pain neuroscience education into adaptive, personalized coaching.

Our approach is consistent: evidence before enthusiasm, explicit assumptions, and disciplined boundaries on what the technology can and cannot do. These are clinical-grade tools, not wellness apps.
